POSITION OVERVIEW Independently evaluates, selects, and applies quality techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
Assignments have specified objectives.
Normally receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions but may frequently operate in a self-directed manner.
Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment.
Maintains quality requirements in accordance to customer and legal guidelines.
May supervise hourly or salary non-exempt employees.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Determine and document any areas that may need improvement.
Review the current policies and recommend plans to improve upon the existing quality standards.
Maintain IATF16949 requirements Participate in cross functional on-site readiness review and audit.
Verification of Corrective action Preventive action responses to evaluate the effectivity and insure appropriate corrective action submissions.
Attend meetings necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development.
Manage all staff reporting to the position to monitor their activities.
Reporting of daily/ weekly/ monthly quality items Provide administrative support for projects by collecting data, providing project documentation, training staff, and performing other general administrative duties.
Develop proposed project objectives and targets, and report to management on progress in attaining them.
Review of warranty analysis and reporting findings to the customer.
Assist in new product launches.
Assist in trial production builds.
Work with the customer on quality related issues.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS 2 years of experience in a Quality Specialist role and a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field; will substitute experience for degree.
Problem solving and technical reporting; Independent thinkers and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
